Connecting farmers, agri-food industry leaders, policy-makers, and sustainability-focussed NGOs around the world to ignite and scale change

Climate-positive agriculture, which seeks to shift farming and other land use from being a net source to a net sink of emissions, is essential to the creation of food systems in harmony with the environment. The world’s food systems produce one-quarter of all global emissions*, so changing how we grow, produce and consume food is both crucial and urgent.

While sustainable practices and profitability are not incompatible, and farmers around the world are making strides towards more sustainable production, more support is needed to make the transition without jeopardising livelihoods.

Taking place during COP26, this high-level panel discussion looked at the significant opportunities for the agriculture sector as it seeks ways to monetise regenerative practices through innovative approaches, and unpacked some of the new decisions anticipated out of COP26 on how to cut carbon emissions.

    Galvanising leadership

Featuring both the UN Food Systems Summit and COP26, 2021 is a critical year for advancing progress on sustainable food production. Going forward, what should political and industry leaders be doing differently to better support growers and farmers around the world to improve their contribution towards a net zero global economy?

    Transition risk & anxiety

How can we work to deliver solutions to the farmgate that are both sustainable and profitable?

    Harnessing innovation

Technology and innovation are essential to enabling and accelerating positive change. What are the latest digital tools, seed technologies, and crop protection products (e.g. biologicals) helping farmers make strategic land management decisions, measure and increase carbon sequestration, reduce emissions, and generate new revenue streams?
